If we ever had another event I wouldn’t think twice about who I would ask to cater...
Ever since I was a little girl I knew that when I got married I wanted a BBQ for the wedding breakfast (which Chris was more than happy about). So when picking a caterer, having an amazing BBQ menu option was essential. Not long after getting engaged we booked Broyle Place in East Sussex and Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd were one of the suppliers. Their BBQ menu completely won us over. So there was absolutely no hesitation in booking them to cater our wedding.
Broyle Place was the very first venue that we went to see and it had everything we were looking for in a venue. It was beautiful, had character, it was completely exclusive and everything was in one place. Even though we went and looked at other venues, Broyle Place had completely won us over and we just had to get married there. We knew that on a lovely sunny summers day it would be so lovely for guests to be served their Pimms and beer outside in the grounds.
We never had a set theme or colour scheme in mind to begin with. We just knew that we wanted the day to reflect us as a couple. We eventually decided to go for a dusky pink coloured scheme with more foliage than flowers. However, we did actually decide to go with the artificial flower option so that we would have a memento for the day. The day before when we were setting up with Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd they actually asked if I would like some water for the flowers and were shocked when I told her they were actually fake!
We wanted the tables to be very basic and not too fussy. So when we were setting up the decorations around Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd’s cutlery and plates etc. they were very good at helping us make sure it looked perfect and giving us their honest opinion. We trusted their judgement entirely. One quirky feature we did decide on was to name the tables after cheese as we LOVE cheese! We had them professionally drawn and it was a very personal and unique touch to the day.
One of the best parts of planning for the big day was when we were invited to Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd’s tasting afternoon. We have never eaten so much amazing food and going there gave us complete confidence for our wedding day. We originally weren’t going to have canapés either, but having tried them we just had to have all our family and friends try them too! Chrystelle at Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd was great at responding to any queries we had regardless of how silly the questions may have seemed.
Our wedding day was perfect. We were so lucky with the weather, with the sun eventually coming out just as I was about to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd instantly passed us both a drink and did not forget about us all day, asking that we were okay for drink and that we weren’t hungry at all. Our canapés we selected went down a hit! With the crab and lobster pots along with the beef in a mini Yorkshire pudding being the firm favourites. Having the canapés being served whilst the magician was going around and with the garden games, it felt perfect for a summer wedding.
The BBQ main that I had wanted my whole life was all we could have wished for and more! We decided on the burgers, lamb koftas and BBQ chicken with a selection of salads, buttery new potatoes and baguettes. With it being a buffet styled wedding breakfast, it was lovely for the guests to go up for seconds if they wished too. We then picked the trio of deserts, and even my mum who isn’t a desert person, polished them all off. In the evening we had a cheese tower and Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd cut the cheese up and made sure there was plenty for throughout the evening. We opted for the fajita bar in the evening which people thought was a genius idea and something completely different!
With food being one of the most important parts of the wedding day, we were so glad that we picked Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd as they provided the best service. From booking, to setting up and on the big day. Our guests complimented the food and the service throughout the whole day and I would recommend Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd to anyone. If we ever had another event I wouldn’t think twice about who I would ask to cater.
