The events manager on the day Katie ,was absolutely sensational and everything ran like clockwork, not a single hitch in catering for 76 day guests with an additional 40 evening guests.

We first approached Super event in 2015, and after meeting Tony for the first time, decided his very thorough but informal approach would be perfect for us. We were fortunate enough to attend two tasting sessions as well which are definitely highly recommended and very good fun.

Claudia & I got married on the 2nd June 2017 at Broyle Place (nr Lewes).

The food

Once we attended our second tasting session in March 2017, we decided on our wedding breakfast menu and choice of canapes. We went for the Super event Gold Catering Package and also upgraded to the spirits package too, which was definitely value for money. There was more than enough drink, both alcoholic and non alcoholic for the entire day and evening.

We chose 3 starters; beetroot cured smoked salmon, aromatic duck salad and warm goats cheese bruschetta.

For the main course there was Southown lamb shank, herb crusted salmon or Forest mushroom, spinach and goats cheese strudel.

And then desserts were a choice of lemon posset, hazelnut & creme brulee pyramid or Seville orange and Grand Marnier cheesecake.

All the way through the build up ,Tony & Chrystelle were fantastic, in answering any of our questions, assisting us with planning the menu /drinks package etc.

The big day

On the day, the marquee looked fantastic. Hanging lanterns from the Hanging lantern company, the Boat house and the tables were dressed by Bows Hire…and the flowers were provided by Riverside flowers of Lewes. Guests upon arrival had non alcoholic reception drinks and immediately after the ceremony the Super Event team were on hand with canapes and sparkling wine and Pimms.

Chrystelle and Tony kindly agreed to us having a split menu. In addition to this, Chrystelle and Tony were very helpful in catering for our guests that were Gluten Free & Vegan, going as far as to create a totally individual menu for our 1 vegan guest. Evening food was a hog roast & the vegetarian option was a Moroccan Tagine. We had so many compliments on how lovely the food was, especially the Lamb Shank.

We would like to say a huge Thank You to Super Event. They provided us with 5 star service from when we first contacted them until our wedding was over. Excellent communications and excellent catering.
