We had visited a few different venues when looking for our wedding venue and whilst searching we had been recommended to Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd by a number of different people. The first time we saw Squerryes Court, which was the venue we actually chose we loved it. What made it an even easier decision to make was knowing that Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd was one of the marquee companies that they would work with. We had already been in discussions with Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd as they had been so highly recommended to us. They were so helpful and friendly from day one, especially Chrystelle, she was always at the end of the phone or e-mail and was so quick to answer any question, nothing ever seemed to much or too trivial a question.
We took both sets of parents to the tasting and all had a superb day. It was so good to see how the marquee would be set out on the day, and reassure ourselves what a high standard their marquees were. Everything was very clean and the day was so well organised. I don’t think we had ever eaten so much food at the tasting! It was amazing, you literally got to try everything and saw how the dishes would look on the day.
There was so much choice for the canapés, starters, main and desserts. We also got to try all the different wines and it was very easy to upgrade the wine and mix and match as you wanted. We also were allowed to add in Rosé wine for the whole day at no extra cost and not in replacement of any other drink. During the tasting we got to sit down with Chrystelle and run through how we envisaged the plan of our wedding day. She also had lots of other ideas to recommend to us for our wedding day. It was so good to talk through the day with someone with so much experience and many ideas.
Canapés – mini fish and chips newspaper cones, mini Chinese vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay skewers, mini croque-monsieur of honey roast and gruyere, rockefort and shallot tartlet
Starter – Mediterranean antipasti
Main – featherblade beef cooked in a red wine and shallot sauace served with dauphinoise potatoes and fresh market vegetable medley
Pudding – triple delight – French lemon tart, dark chocolate cup, raspberry pavlova
Evening food – bacon butties, sausages rolls and cheese and biscuits
For the final meeting with Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd we were unable to go down to their office but it was no trouble at all having our meeting over the phone. We still felt that we got to discuss everything and left the conversation feeling really happy and organised with our planning. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble.
We met the Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd team the day before our wedding. They were all very friendly and professional. The marquee was everything we hoped for and more. We set up our table plan and Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd helped to guide us on our final touches to our marquee which really brought everything together. We used a different company to help with our decorations as we wanted lanterns; we were so happy with them and the way our marquee looked. Leaving the marquee the day before our wedding we really felt happy and excited for our wedding the next day.
When we arrived on our wedding day, everything was set up and ready to go; my husband and I were greeted with bubbles. The staff were very efficient and discreet. We had a large wedding (175 guests) and everyone’s food was served at the same time and hot! Drinks were free flowing and no table was ever left waiting for their wine to be replaced. The Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd team ensured the day ran to time and they discreetly kept my husband and I on track as we constantly lost track of time chatting to all our guests. The team were very efficient and professional and so many of our guests paid complements on the food especially the canapés. There was not one single thing that stood out, it was more the fact that just every single thing went to plan. We really expected a few things to not quite go right but that really didn’t happen and that made the day just perfect and even better than we had ever hoped for!
Our wedding day really was the best day ever and Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd made sure we had superb service from the very first moment we made contact with them. Thank you for making it such a special occasion that we shall treasure for the rest of our lives
