As soon as we saw a picture of our venue online, we knew we wanted to get married there. At that point, we didn’t know anything about Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd other than that they managed weddings there, but all that changed as soon as we went to have a look around the venue and met Tony. He was so helpful during our tour, answering our questions, giving us loads of information and generally giving us confidence in the whole process. We booked the venue while still in the grounds!
From that moment on, Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd could not have been more helpful in making our wedding dreams come true. Chrystelle was always at the other end of an email, supporting us through our initial plans. We knew Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd had the big parts of the day covered (food, drinks, set up etc.) but Chrystelle answered all my questions while I was booking other suppliers (musicians etc.). She really got to know us and understand what we were trying to achieve with our wedding and her advice was invaluable.
When the time came for choosing the food, the tasting lunch Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd held was so helpful and got us so excited for our day. The variety and quality of food made it difficult to choose, but again we talked it through with the Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd team, made a few personalisations and we were done! The staff at the tasting were also all so lovely that we knew they’d be great on our day. In terms of drinks, we went for the unlimited package and were able to swap out half the red wine for prosecco at no extra cost – which went down very well with all of our guests! We also left the tasting with a few entertainment ideas for our day, which was so helpful! When we had our final meeting with Chrystelle, no detail was left uncovered. We went through everything thinkable and left safe in the knowledge that all was in hand.
In the week leading up to the wedding, it looked like the weather was going to be terrible – not good for a wedding ceremony planned outside! Again, Chrystelle and the team were in constant contact while we were trying to decide whether to put up the Plan B see-through marquee – they let us make the decision on the morning of the wedding and when we decided to go ahead, had the marquee up in a matter of hours. It was the best decision we made as it poured the whole day! Tony, Lorraine and the team on site were incredible. I was desperate to do the long walk up the aisle and Tony met me and my bridesmaids as we arrived and had us wait until the rain subsided a bit – his experience and confidence made a very stressful situation that much better and we made it down the aisle. Waiting for the rain meant everything was running a bit late, but you really wouldn’t have known from the way the team dealt with it!
In terms of set up, my dad had taken all of our decorations to the venue in the morning and Lorraine and the team had done the rest. Everything looked amazing and just as planned when the groomsmen arrived to do finishing touches (and they had also been very helpful for my aunt who was doing the flowers). The food was served with no fuss, the drinks flowed and I didn’t even notice when suppliers like the DJ and photo booth came to set up, the team took care of everything. It was all in hand from start to finish.
I really can’t recommend Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd enough. We could not have been luckier to have them.
