After finding Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd online when searching companies that cover ‘Everything Wedding’, I was pleasantly surprised that everything they do and cover is all detailed on their website. With even the prices for everyone to see, which made the whole process so much easier than ringing up for their ‘hidden prices’ like many other suppliers.

When Chrystelle rang me back I knew that Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd were the company that was going to bring our dream wedding together. And by no means did they disappoint over the 18 months that we worked with them.

From the 2 wedding tastings that we went to (which were wonderful each time) to all the lead up to the week before the wedding, Chrystelle informed me at all stages of the preparation. Which really is a relief with everything else that brides have to plan and organise.

The build up

The marquee arrived on Monday 2^nd September, was set up on our sand school where I ride the horses (this was always the dream when I was a child – some dreams do come true!).

The team were friendly, efficient and quick at setting up. Thank you Rob and your team.

For those 5 days before the wedding we were able to finish the inside of the marquee to exactly how I had envisaged it would look in all the years of planning this day.

Nothing disappointed. Things and people arrived on time, to the schedule that Chrystelle and I had planned. This really did make the whole week before less stressful.

Friday 6^th September saw Sally and her team arrive to dress the tables and complete the finishing touches inside. This eased all the final day stress as it was Sally who was managing the wedding day, which she did a fabulous job of coordinating.

The big day

The wedding day went like clockwork thanks to the team, as they did the most amazing job of keeping us all happy, fed and watered.

There was nothing that was too much trouble, your staff are a credit to you Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd. Well done.

The food

Our food was amazing, people are still taking about the canapés, I just wish that Charlie and I would of found some time to eat them!

We had:

Mini Croque-Monsieur of honey roast ham and gruyere
Mini fish & chips newspaper cones with salt and vinegar
Rockefort and shallot tartlet
Baby Cumberland sausages with honey, sesame seeds, and real tomato ketchup
Thai spiced tiger prawn sticks with Tom Yum dip

For the sit down meal we had:

Melted Camembert
Featherblade of beef
Trio of mini deserts

For the evening buffet we had a hog roast and a cheese board selection.

We did not meet our chef and kitchen staff on the day, but please thank them and tell them that it was the best featherblade of beef that most people had ever tasted. Along with the rest of the food, the feedback has been fantastic. Thank you.

All of the food was amazing – to be cooked in a tent on my sand school is a bit surreal and we will never forget this day.

The drinks flowed throughout the day and into the evening. When Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd say unlimited drinks, they are unlimited and even with a wedding party that gave it a good go, the drinks did not run out.

The team did a fantastic job throughout the day and the evening. Staying until we managed to get a few guests that didn’t want to leave out the marquee! They left everything tidy and cleared up past 1am so there wasn’t a mass clear up on the Sunday. Thank you for this.

18 months of dealing with Chrystelle came to an end after the wedding. However Tony and her both rang us on the Sunday and made sure everything went to plan which was a really nice touch.

On the Monday the marquee team were back to take down and clear away- by lunch time it was gone and it was like the wedding had never happened…
