Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd was a no brainer for our catering, Mike would not have chosen anyone else and they did not disappoint
The build up to our wedding couldn’t have been smoother. We got engaged on New Years Eve and whilst waiting for the RAC in rainy Scotland we planned almost the entire day. We wanted the day to be simple and our main concerns were that everyone had fun and that no one was hungry!
We got married at Mike’s church in Heathfield, where he has been going for about 20 years. We had our wedding reception at Punnetts Town Village Hall which was perfect for us. It was local, intimate and actually a lovely village hall inside (not what most people expected!). We spent a lot of time planning and prepping decorations as we decorated the hall ourselves and had a reception marquee outside from Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd.
Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd was a “no brainer” for our catering, Mike would not have chosen anyone else and they did not disappoint. The tastings were fab, a great way to try a little bit of everything and decide what we wanted to have on the day.
Tony and Chrystelle were well organised and attentive and it was clear they know what they are doing like the back of their hand. We were guided by them in how the day ran and what we needed to consider (as of course we had not done this before!). Right up to the day before they were checking things with us, making sure everything was in place and everything was correct.
As we decorated the reception ourselves we were around while Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd were setting everything up the day before. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they really made sure everything was done as we wanted. We could not have asked for more and were so pleased with how everything looked and that our input was taken into consideration. The kitchen was hidden out of sight of our guests and the food and drink flowed seamlessly into the reception.
We got married in October, and were not planning for the weather to be as great as it was on the day so they accommodated last minute changes to having our reception drinks and canapés outside, and our guests still now talk about the scotch eggs! It was clear no one went hungry. We had several canapés, spring rolls, mini sausages, scotch eggs, lobster pots prawns, croque monsieur and I think a few others. We had a starter of the duck salad, main pork belly and dauphinoise potatoes and a trio of deserts. We made a slight change to the puddings to have what we wanted and this was no problem to them at all.
Our guests were so complementary of the food and service throughout the day, no one went hungry and drinks were topped up before you even noticed they were running low. Nothing was too much trouble.
Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd gave us the best service and food we could have wished for, I just wish we were guests so we could have eaten and drank more!
