Roberto had previously played with his band at a wedding at Brewerstreet Farmhouse. The moment we got engaged and started looking for venues, he knew that I would fall in love with this place too. He was right, it was the first venue we saw and almost there and then put a deposit down! The grounds are just absolutely stunning, and the owners, Chris and Sasha, are truly lovely, wonderful people who really care about making your day amazing.
Chrystelle was instrumental in keeping us (mainly me) sane, answering questions over email super quickly, providing stellar advice. Brewerstreet exclusively use Super Event for the weddings they host, and I can see why. Everything is consistent, they keep to their word and provide an excellent service. There is also a face to face meeting which is really beneficial. It takes place 6 weeks before your wedding and is the perfect time (and timing) to ask all the questions you can think of and put your mind at rest!
One of the best bits of wedding planning was the tasting. I wholly recommend bringing along friends or family to join you if you want to – there’s a charge for them but it’s excellent value. You literally get to sample everything they have to offer, plus wine. Even if you’re not taking out their drinks package. You also do the tasting in a Super Event marquee, set up as if you were at a wedding. So you get a really good vision of how you would like your marquee to look. We ended up choosing Mediterranean antipasti, feather blade of beef, and trio of desserts – lemon posset, grand marnier orange cheesecake and rich chocolate truffle. It was a tough choice and absolutely delicious! For our evening food, we found the most amazing pizza company, Monte Forte, who Super Event and Brewerstreet were happy to accommodate. Brewerstreet were also very flexible with our guests who had dietary requirements and allergies. The canapes also went down a treat, people were raving about them!
On the week of the wedding, we were able to access the marquee from the Thursday onwards and a representative form Super Event was on hand too which was fantastic. Any questions or worries were pretty much extinguished instantly by the knowledge and reassurance from Super Event. They set up all the tables, chairs and linens and left everything for us to decorate from Friday lunchtime which gave us plenty of time to sort everything. Late Friday afternoon we left with the peace of mind that everything was ready to go for the next day.
Roberto is half Italian. We got engaged in Verona and we visit Italy regularly, so it felt natural to have an Italian theme to the wedding. We wanted a classic, subtle Italian theme, complemented by green and white florals. The table centre pieces and my bouquet were made up of white large headed avalanche roses, peonies and hydrangeas with eucalyptus and olive foliage. The bridesmaids had similar bouquets of large headed avalanche roses with eucalyptus and olive foliage. We provided a small bottle of limoncello and the Italian tradition of 5 almonds for our favours.
We got married on site and decorated the ceremony marquee with beautiful ‘fake’ flowers – they made such a difference! I loved getting married on site, Chris and Sacha from Brewerstreet were so accommodating and really made you feel like the place was exclusively yours from Thursday – Sunday, even though they live there! Myself and the bridesmaids were given access to a room to get ready and Chris made you feel like a VIP by driving me, my Dad and the bridesmaids round to the ceremony.
Mark from Super Event was on hand guiding us every step of the way, reminding us yet not pushing us of any activity we had specified we wanted to do (i.e. first dance, cutting the cake, speeches etc). We didn’t have to worry about anything – Mark sorted it all. If there had been any issues we had no clue! All our vendors were given Mark’s number – everything was almost ‘handed over’ to them so we could just enjoy the day. Something strange to mention but the mobile luxury loos were actually amazing! They are far from a festival portaloo…!
We provided the drinks ourselves, which Super Event were happy to accommodate with a small service fee. We provided prosecco and aperol spritz for the reception drinks, which went down really well.
We decorated the marquee with hanging round paper lanterns, this made such a difference and looked so good! As a tip to future bride and grooms, I feel this is a much better way to decorate a marquee than bunting or lighting, and much much cheaper!
The Super Event staff were constantly on hand. If anyone wanted a drink or canape – they were there. They were also super friendly and made a huge effort with everyone.
We were lucky to have DJ Disco Magic and a friends’ band play – they were both amazing and the dancing was absolutely epic under the sparkly lights of the marquee – an added extra but we loved it!

Super Events are exclusively used by Brewerstreet Farmhouse and I can absolutely see why. Chrystelle was like our own wedding planner, with no question too much for her, even from a bride and groom who overthink everything! Mark really made everything run perfectly, we were able to totally forget about any planning or management of the day and just thoroughly enjoy ourselves and get lost in the whole day
