It really was the best day ever and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. We only wish we could relive it over and over again!
We got engaged in July 2018 and only went to visit one venue which was Brewerstreet Farmhouse in Surrey. We fell in love with it the moment we saw it and knew this was going to be the venue for us! After speaking with the venue owners and Super Event Catering & Marquee Hire Ltd it was so apparent that we could really make the day our own which was really important to us.
Quite early on in our planning we decided the theme for the day would revolve around gin and whisky! Each table was named after a gin or a whisky that was significant to us. We had the table names hand drawn which looked incredible. We collected bottles and jars to decorate the marquee with and had a gorgeous display as you walked into the marquee.
We kept the colours quite neutral focusing on white and dusky pink. The giant flower wall that we had behind the top table really added to this.
We also had two massive trees in the ceremony marquee which were so eye catching!
We were extremely lucky with the weather on the day of the wedding as it was boiling hot. Thankfully we had bought and hired some garden games which kept our guests occupied for hours.
Another key focus for our day was music. We had a string quartet during the ceremony, a mariachi band after the speeches and a DJ with saxophone player for the evening! It was literally non stop dancing!
In terms of picking the food, the hardest part were the canapés as we had so many dietary requirements. But after a few changes we settled on a selection that covered everyone. We also went for the full drinks package to ensure the whole day was a massive party!
We got engaged in Mexico so chose fajitas for the evening food as a nod to our engagement location! The fajitas went down so well and were so easily adapted to any dietary requirement.
It really was the best day ever and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. We only wish we could relive it over and over again!
There were so many lovely photos taken during the day. Here are just a selection…
