Wedding Marquee Interior Ideas

Every marquee wedding is unique. It is all those extra little touches that make it really special for you and whenever we look at photographs of past weddings, we normally always know which couple it was, based on all the wedding marquee interior ideas and unique decorations that each couple choose.

Colour Schemes

Mostly our marquees will be in cream. We can colour coordinate your marquee, but we think it keeps cleaner lines to have the marquee all in one colour. That way, you can decorate the rest of the interior, without it looking too busy. It means you can have as much detail everywhere else as you like. Couples will definitely want to colour coordinate and this can be done through chair backs, napkins, table decorations as well as flowers within the marquee.

Marquee layout

Where would you like to be seated in your wedding marquee? Do you want to be seated amongst your guests or a little apart so everyone can see you and your wedding party. Here are a few variations on ideas for your top table as well as the layout of your marquee.

Table Decorations

This is where you can really feel inspired. What would you like for your table centrepieces? A statement piece? This can be where you really show off your creative side and we have had some wonderful designs of flower displays over the years. Or it will look equally as wonderful to be understated, leaving more room on each table, for guests to see clearly as well as spread themselves out a little. Candles are always a lovely choice and can look splendid, sitting in hurricane lamps, with flowers adorning them – this also looks great, once it starts to get dark.

Obviously it will depend on your food choices as to how much cutlery will be laid out, but there also needs to be room for any wedding favours, table numbers, name places, wine and water.

Entranceway

What bride doesn’t like to make an entrance. Here we can roll out the red carpet and you can both walk in, in real style! Patio doors will give you a little more of an entrance and let’s keep this area nice and open so if the weather is slightly inclement, you can have a full receiving line, if that is what you would like to have, inside the marquee rather than out.

Flowers are always a nice idea both inside and outside the entrance, or perhaps the odd pot of topiary, giving you a wonderful walk up to your wedding marquee.

Lighting

Obviously you need to have lighting for the evening. Even on a gorgeous sunny evening, there will come a time when there needs to be lights of some sort. We have some stunning chandeliers that prove very popular. Lighting nets or strings of twinkling lights also look very romantic, as do candles. The dancefloor, if you have one, will have some form of lighting, depending on what you choose. But make sure old Auntie Ivy, sitting at the back of the marquee can see what she’s doing too – it’s not just about the party goers on the dance floor!

Cutlery, Glassware and Crockery

All of our table accompaniments are classic, timeless and look wonderful on each table. We will ensure the glasses sparkle, the crockery shines and the cutlery is laid to perfection at each place setting. The napkins placed accordingly alongside.

Welcome Board and Seating Plan

We are seeing more and more wonderful designs for seating plans. Totally personal and extremely creative. Perhaps it is related to the happy couple – a hobby perhaps or an interest. Make them beautiful though – they are normally the first thing people will see when they enter your wedding venue…
